a) This picture is of Charlie in Switzerland at the Montreux Jazz Festival. It was taken because Charlie is a complex person but there are moments when her walls are down and you can see her, beautiful and rather battered. I keep it because I feel like I achieved the goal of the photo. I don't think someone would be able to predict her personality by looking at this photo, but I think they would understand part of her depth. I chose this photo because I'm proud of it, I'm satisfied with how I was able to capture her and I think she's worth the attention of capturing. The photo is quite significant to me. Charlie is semi-homeless, traveling around staying with friends. There is a good chance I will never see her again, though for a summer we fellow wonderers and goofs. This photo contains and preserves that for me.
b) I think I mostly answered this above. But the emotional relationship between the photographer and subject is meaningful. That one who has friended so many would still open up to me. That influences how I took it because this was a moment where she was not restraining anything. The shot is very close up not allowing her to hide. You can see her wet hair and smudged make-up from swimming in the lake. She's smoking, not posing, looking directly into the camera. You look at it like you are looking at a real person, not a model trying to achieve a certain look or air. I think the photographer's attitude is there, present in the moment, and just remembering that. I also think I answered what the subject's attitude towards the photographer is above.
c) I feel like this photo could be viewed in a variety of contexts, socially or artistically. It has aspects of both worlds and so wouldn't seem foreign or alienated in either. Anyone could view it, but those who care to understand others would probably gain most. Since it is of a person and one seems drawn towards her eyes I think it could be viewed for a while, because ever time I see it I feel like there is more to see. I bet I will remember this photo in 10 years, it probably my favorite picture I've taken so far, that's something worth remembering.

a) The purpose of the photo again is to capture a moment. It was taken in a blanket fort where probably 10 of us were taking turns reading a ridiculous sic-fi book out loud in accents. I keep it because it's a happy fond memory that I want to last. I chose it for this assignment because it's of me but not deliberate about my appearance. It was a happy hippie summer and you can see that through this photo and I like that. It's significance to me isn't huge, I am not a hoarder of photos of myself, but I like the moment and aspects of the photo.
b) The relationship between the photographer and subject is a fond one. The subject allows the photographer to be see the way they are because the emotions displayed are not a forced display. It influences the way the photo was taken because it is not posed and the subject is not necessarily of the photo being taken. The attitude of the photographer toward the subject seems comfortable and kind. The subjects attitude towards the photographer seems cheerful and honest.
c) The context the photo should be viewed in is probably personal or socially. Either remembering the memory or sharing it. It should be viewed by those who are apart of the memory or by those the memory is being shared with. Not for very long, long enough to understand the atmosphere. No, I probably wont remember this particular picture in 10 years.
